Text editors

Good ol' Windows Notepad -- it's useful for editing, but very limited in features. The text editors listed below have more features, but they're still small in size so they load quickly. And they're free! Test out a few, and find yourself a good replacement for Notepad.

Legend:
MDI - multi-document interface
MRU - most recently used documents
URL aware - web links are highlighted
