NOTE: As of October 2007, Gmail offers access via POP3 (Port 995, SSL), IMAP (Port 993, SSL) and SMTP (Ports 465/587, SSL). As a result, many other email programs (including various full clients, compact clients and mail checkers) may now be used with Gmail accounts.
